So a little venting. By the end it'll make sense.

I grew up and held the notion until about 8 years ago that whenever I traveled there was this implied security of being a us citizen. If I was kidnapped, attacked, or in an are that became toxic, but was able to communicate with an embassy, seals, Rangers, and the cia would fall from the sky with no regard for diplomatic insecurity or how it looked. If you were a us citizen, and hadn't done anything stupid or illegal, it was implied that nobody can get away with fucking with you.

I'm so disappointed in how that seems to have changed. i was probably a little delusional, but picking a fight with innocent us citizens used to be on par with sucker punching a biker at a biker bar.

So anyways. I watched 13 hours about Benghazi and while it might be the most apolitical depiction of events, it still makes me feel horrible to think that there were hundreds of thousands if not millions of people that would have stood up for us. Just not the 10 assholes who had a say so in it.

As much as I feel trump is 90% bs and likely to compromise on something important to me, if 1 American is spared because he has the balls to man up I think it might be worth it.

I feel this way as well, but I think politics have become more important to certain people than the lives of Americans. Then again, do I need to bring up the fact that they can kill Americans on foreign soil without a trail?
