Does anyone in the North Metro Area have one of the Lisle or OTC spark plug removal tools I could borrow or you could loan me for a fair price? I am wanting to change the plugs on my 2005 F150 and want to be prepared. I live in Kennesaw.
Thanks! |

OP if you want to drive to my shop on a Saturday i'm not working, i'll do it for you. i have all the chemicals needed to do the proper decarb before changing the plugs. i'd do it just to help out, i own the tool kit, but barely use it, the 04 and 05's are usually the ones i have to extract plugs on.
anyways, let me know if you need any advice or help, i have a system that rocks for the 5.4 v3 tune ups |
| I did my own, had the tool on stand by, never needed it. Popped off the coil packs while engine was still warm, blew out any debris, sprayed some PB blaster in each hole, and then loosen, and slightly tighten. Did that and 45 minutes later, all plugs were out and not a single one broke. |

Vote... I really appreciate the offer but Unfortunately I have to work this weekend. Where are you located? Vote lives in Martinez. A few miles down the road from the Ford Dealership where he would likely do it. Martinez is a little ride from you but to have it done right, I am sure it would be worth the trip. We are a good bunch of folks here in Augusta and I am happy to call Vote a good friend of mine... |
