So this is a little weird asking this on a gun forum, but whatever.
Do any of the Larger GAHTF members have any suggestions for a clothier in North Georgia where a large man can get decent business attire? I am 6'7", 280lbs and am having a hell of a time finding dress pants, shirts or anything else. I have tried big and talls (Poor quality and out of touch with 21st century style), Jos. A. Bank (nicer looking stuff, but no options for a big man and quality seems questionable) and regular retailers (no options for me.) I am perfectly comfortable with spending what it takes to get there, but even after placing a call to H. Stockton and Brooks Brothers, it seems like I am out of luck. Does anyone have an suggestions for a place I can buy decent clothes that fit me? It would also be nice if they were not stuffy and were willing to work with a clueless ogre of a man. |

Many of them have a much better selection online. The best shirts I've found is jos a bank traveler. No dry cleaner or ironing anymore.
Surprisingly Jc Penney has a great selection of tall and ex tall shirts. They are lower quality but still get it done. K&g used to be good but no just a marshals type store. If you need suits, there's a place at the apparel mart that has the best selection And for the record I've yet to see something posted in this htf that didn't get a better than average answer |
| I used to work at the Saks outlet and we could fit you, although the selection might be (and I'm really sorry here but I can't help it) slim. The price will be a bit up but you would get very high quality stuff. I once was able to fit a guy who needed a 56SP, that is short and portly, and I had a suit on the rack for him. The tall selection was better than the short. |

Depending on your budget, I have a friend that works for a company in the ATL area that is basically a traveling tailor. They measure you....completely...... and custom make a suit for you. They can make big people look good. (I am 6'6" 235)
As someone who wears a suit AND works outside on a daily basis, skip Jos. A Bank. Their stuff is cheap and doesn't last. http://www.tomjames.com |
