| Anyone been to Six Flags lately? I haven't been in 8-10 years, but may be taking my 7yr old this week (he's never been). Any reason to avoid the park on a Wednesday? |

Last time I went a few years ago and was surprised to see so many packs of unaccompanied kids running around. I think the cheap season pass turns in to a summer long baby sitting facility for some of the locals.
Keep an eye on your kid and have a good time. Don't forget some sunscreen! |

I was there yesterday. No lines, no problems, car was safe too.
I'm a season pass holder and been several times already this year. Only seen one problem where 3-4 teenagers were acting like idiots. Security 6-7 of them were there with in a minute and promptly escorted them out. They do have wandes and metal detectors. Depends on who you get and how serious they take their jobs. Had everything from the " you will respect my authority" checking even into the cracks of my wife's purse to the one who didn't even ask you to empty your pockets. Wouldn't be hard to get on what ever you wanted to, but I've never felt the need. I park in the park. |
