| Just got the call a few minutes ago the county put us on standby. According to our weather people we may get something. |
| Nothing but wet roads in south Douglas county. Didn't see any frozen precip until I got just north of I-20 on the west side. Slushy enough on Hwy. 78 that 1 oncoming car lost it in a curve and went off the road backwards right in front of me. As bad as it sounds, I couldn't feel sorry for them. They were driving way too fast on slushy roads with worn out tires, couple of FSA types. They weren't hurt, just stupid, so I motored on to work. |

If The Governor don't call for everyone to stay at the house I'll be screwed like last year when my bosses shout "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE" in the middle of the shit. Right? Took me eleven hours to make it thirty miles last time. I coulda walked it in eight if I'd had decent shoes on. |

Well here we go round two. DIdnt get anything today but a broken down sand spreader...bearing went out on the spreader wheel. Now we are down to one tandem spreader and one little flatbed spreader. We have two trucks two spreaders and tow plows on order but they have an eta of April... May be and interesting day/night for me tomorrow.
I do not get my weather reports for channel 2 or 5 I only read and go by what the national weather service puts out. We have our own weather people they are not so much worried about snow as they are ice. They think we will get an ice event here in Henry county. |
