I have to pass this sale on. Sort of an impulse buy, but I stopped by Cherokee pawn today and they had the aac pilot II on sale for $179 plus the $200 Damn the man rebate. It's like getting the can for -$21
I didn't "need"another 22 suppressor but for that price I had to pick one up. |

Is that common core math? Somehow relieving oneself of $392.59 (taxes included) and calling it $21 just isn't right. Oh, that's right. It's ARFCOM math. You may carry-on. Who am I to talk? I just put this in the mailbox today. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7543/15555460678_1c1629580b_z.jpg That's woman math! My wife always comes Home and says "look how much money I saved today" and turns out she spent a few hundred bucks! |

And AAC gives you a $200 rebate that can be spent on parts accessories on the AAC website. Quoted:

No the suppressor is $179 and the tax stamp is $200. And AAC gives you a $200 rebate that can be spent on parts accessories on the AAC website. Ohhh damn. I thought it was too good to be true. I guess I need to figure out what I need that's worth $200 from AAC, lol |

Yes, except....
They tack tax AND shipping & handling charges on, and you can not use your rebate against those charges/fees. THAT sort of pissed me off when I went to buy one muzzle device ($125) with my $200 credit, and they still wanted to ding my credit card for $17 or $18 worth of tax & s/h. (Especially since I live right down the street from AAC, but pickup in person w/o S/H isn't an option). That was iritating. The sales tax I get I guess - but the s/h seemed rather tacky in my opinion. |

They should be flogged. |

Anyone used a pilot 2 next to a sparrow or any of the other new cans? My pilot 1 is so full of lead it was time for a new one. I looked at I think it was a sparrow yesterday. Big selling point was it being able to come apart to be cleaned. Looked like a slick design. |

Thompson Machine and Sparrows come apart and I love both of mine.
Chris at SemperFi hooked me up with the Thompson Machine one and its a little smaller in diameter than the sparrow but a tad longer so I can see the sights on my M&P 22. In fact I got both of them through Chris at SemperFi. |
