I have an AdChoices banner on my web browser and try as I might I can't seem to remove it. I have searched the net and Malwarebytes seems to be the most common solution but it failed to find it after several scans.
There were several other advanced solutions that were well above my pay grade so I didn't even attempt them. I am using Google Chrome if my browser choice makes a difference. Thanks in advance if you can guide me through the process..!!! td |

I use Combofix a lot. It doesn't work on Windows 8 though if you have that.

I would suggest that you try windows defender offline. You will need to burn a CD or DVD and use that image to boot from the CD.
Once you have booted from the CD it will be more difficult for the malware to stay cloaked. After booting from the CD the OS that is running from the cd will try to download the latest virus definitions and then run a full scan. This has always been successful for me. Link to download is below. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/what-is-windows-defender-offline |

.
Go to Trend Micro, click For Home, then click on the Run House Call. When its finished select remove. When that is all done, run all the other free removal products such as Adware and Bot remover. Then this weekend go buy an iMac, Mac Mini, or Mac Pro. The other option is to download the Ubuntu installation CD Rom and burn to CD, format your hard drive and install Ubuntu thus removing the problem from your PC IE ANY MicroSuck OS (operating system)! |
