I'm up in the Hoschton/Braselton area. I have 2 stripped uppers and lowers that I want to fill in with cerakote. Who do you guys recommend near here for that?  Im looking for logo and wording fill in, not cerakoting the entire parts.
About how much should that run?  It would be 2 different colors.

Just use Testors model paint. It's easy and cheap.

Filled in this lower with Testors.

Pretty good so far, but if it ever messes up you just re paint it. It literally takes 5 minutes.

Degrease the area and let dry. Then fill in the area with the paint, don't worry about it getting outside the lines.

Let it sit for about 5 minutes then use an old T-shirt and some CLP to wipe the excess off the lower. Done.

I used paint markers on one of mine and it is still hanging tight 1 yr later. Crayons, model paint, paint markers/pens all work. Just wait and clean the are up after.

If you want to use Cerakote, Accurate Ordnance is right there in Winder. They've done several jobs for me.

Me too. I live in Hoschton and AO is about 15min away. They have Cerakoted a few things for me and Thomas does a kick booty job. I had an AR done in Patriot Brown, about 6 months later I took a .22lr SBR upper to have Cerakoted and Thomas matched my first one perfectly.

I trusted AO to disassemble the upper on my $4500 JP LRP-07, coat it and reassemble. Looks great and shoots sub-.5MOA, they did a great job.

Thanks for the recommendations. I think I'll look up AO and get them to do the work.

Yes, I was being smart.

Can you cerakote just a little bit of a lower? To do it right the anodizing needs stripped and it needs roughed up for the cerakote to adhere.

Sounds like too much work just for a color fill. Brownells and midway should have color fill paint.
