Piedmont and Sandy Plains Rd. were my go to spots. Sherlocks occasionally came through with some good stuff, but they tend to keep the good stuff (Stagg, Pappy, etc.) for repeat customers. |

Several decent locations in Forsyth and Dawsonville on the 400 if you happen to be headed up this way. A particularly well stocked and diversified store is just on the Dawsonville border to the right (Dawson Wine and Spirits I think). The store managers' name is Jason and he will steer you right. It is trendy now for a location to select their own personal barrel at the factory (single barrel/no blend) and sometimes even keep it barrel proof which has a much stronger and complex communication with the buds of taste. These guys have 4 or so of these selections which is a lot from my view.
On that note, I am enjoying a fair splash of Jefferson's Reserve single barrel this evening. Prost!

and new places of purchase: Single Barrel at Cask Strength... not a drop of anything added. The pure elixir is put into bottles and you need to find them. Best to all.

Dave, that is a great selection of small batch you got there. I will try and get a few pics up in a day or so. I have been all over the place the last two weeks and have not had time to reply to this thread. My kids came thru for Father's Day with four nice bottles for me.
We may need to get us a taisting party going one weekend. |
