Why
a Utah Concealed Firearms Permit?

Adding a Utah permit to your Georgia
permit allows you to legally carry in more states. This combination adds 6
states, bringing the total number of states where you can legally carry a
concealed firearm to 36.  The Utah CFP is
easy to apply for, and renewals are inexpensive.

Not a Georgia resident? The Utah permit
also adds 9 states to an Alabama permit and 6 states to a South Carolina
permit.

Utah
CFP Requirements:

A clean criminal record

1 four-hour class taught by a State of
Utah Certified Instructor

1 fingerprint card

1 regulation passport photo

1 copy of a valid GA Firearms License
(CCW) and GA Driver’s License

Check, Money Order or Credit Card to pay
the Utah BCI in the amount of $51.

Still doesn't do any good in South Carolina.

Although there are many states that will recognize the Utah concealed firearm permit, the State of Utah has formal reciprocity (written agreement) with the following states (Click on the name of the state for further information):

The real pisser is that they will not recognize a permit that is not issued by a person's home state. This means that even if you get a non-resident permit from a state that SC recognizes, they will not recognize it. This is just another aspect of how antisocial the SC carry laws are.

It rather makes you wonder. The only South Eastern states that SC does not recognize are the MS/AL/GA block. Old Jim Crow hatred? An old smuggling score to settle? Follow-on Civil War hatred?

Pretty much the only option you have is to buy property in SC so you can qualify for a non-res SC permit.

Even though you don't get SC, you still get 6 others - Delaware, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, Virginia, Washington

As long as I can talk someone in to riding down with me and hanging out with my son a few hours I'm in. Be a good chance to finally make it in to truprep. How close to the mall or a park is it? My son is 2 1/2 yo and fairly easily entertained by any trucks, guns, dinosaurs, or animals so 4 hrs can go by quick.

Its the Marietta location - not entirely sure if there's anything entertaining for a wee sprout nearby. There IS a car lot - you can leave him to do a few test drives while you're occupied?

The best I can do right now is to offer the Truprep Link for Location. They have a GoogleMaps link that might help.
