Does anyone know of a range type bag that has a bunch of pockets for AR mags? I'm looking for a bag that will hold about 20 mags in pockets and maybe a little room left over for ammo...but one that just holds mags would be fine. I've looked everywhere and it seems no one makes one. I want to be able to segregate my 5.56 mags from my 6.8 mags.

Well... I have some Kroger wine bottle carrier bags (2x3) that might fit your need. I'll grab one and see how AR mags fit in it.

After considerable research and trying a couple of contenders, I went with this bag.

Now having used this numerous times I can say it's the best damn mag bag for AR mags that I have ever seen made. The dividers do an excellent job of keeping mags upright even when not completely full.

That's the concept I'm looking for but perhaps in a double wide configuration. I'm really surprised there's not more of these type bags on the market. Thanks for the heads up on that!

You won't find one with more than 10 mags. Too heavy. We're talking 300 rds in 10 mag bag. Anything heavier would rip seams.

Hmmm... That's a concern with my repurposed bags. They will hold 18-21 mags each. Add ammo and I can see the weight being an issue with the cheap material.

On the upside, they were free.

The London Bridge gear bags may work. I don't know if they make one that small

I bought a couple of these a long time ago. They are cheap and they actually hold 12 ar mags. I use black ones for 223 and green ones for 6.8.

Cheaper than Dirt

Again, not sexy but very functional.
