When you go to buy one, get a Mike Lucas. Hands down the best bore guide in the business.

I emailed Mike recently to get a guide for my CZ and he hasn't replied.  I purchased one from him for a Winchester several years ago.  I may end up going with a Neil Jones as I have those, too.

I don't see any point in Lapping / Breaking in a gun that you plan to only use a bore guide on temporarily.

Its a necessary piece of hardware for cleaning and not damaging both your rods and your bore.

What exactly are you planning on doing to your barrel? Much of the internet banter about complicated breakins / lapping is totally unsubstantiated.

I haven't tried Sheps guy yet but I have a few of the <$20 Possum Hollow nylon guides. They get the job done. Certainly room for improvement.

I am going to do what Shep told me to do and do it right...
I have never herd if one until a few weeks ago never used one before but I guess I need to start.
