Here's a little sculpture we put together from some old rusty precision measuring tools that came in with a lot of tools and materials that were purchased from a recently closed 40+ year old business.


I don't know how long the business was actually open, but the guy I bought this stuff from was the son of the man that started it, and he's worked there for over 40 years, basically since he was in his teens.

Seeing some of the finished parts and drawings made from old school methods was really neat, but hearing the stories of what lead to the company's downfall was rough

That's pretty dang cool. I thought it was going to be an 88 or howitzer in front of the shop.

pretty cool, and I don't even like art.

there was a cool coffee table made out of wrenches and sockets a while back.

Me too. I saw that a few years ago and have been buying sockets from yard sales ever since. I just wish i could find a wrench like that for the center piece.
