I have heard that these Leupold fakes were hard to spot. I could tell this one from across the street.
Anyone with contacts with Leupold feel free turn them in,

Apparently they have been using that same fake serial number for at least four six years.

You are correct.

I had a fake Leupold LR Target scope come through the shop about a year ago.

Yeh thats a pretty crappy fake.  The slanted front shade gives it away.

the green illumination and the box in the background should be a good clue too.
