Does anybody know where I can get the battery replaced in my Luminox Dive Watch without it being messed up? I live in Middle Georgia and I had the battery replaced a few years ago where I get my other watch batteries replaced and they did not seal it correctly and it got condensation inside the watch. I had to send it off to a Luminox repair center to be fixed. I don’t mind driving to Atlanta on a Saturday to have it taken care of. I can also go to some gun shops while I am up there. Thanks for any help, Wes |

I don't know if anyone in central Ga. (all my contacts are in Atlanta or north area), but I'd find an actual watchmaker (not the guys in the malls who replace batteries), then ask them to test the water resistance in their pressure tester after the battery is replaced. If they don't have one, find another shop. You're going to pay extra for the pressure testing, but IMO it's a required test for any watch that'll be around water. It's usually a $20 charge.
Sounds like the last people just didn't seat the gasket properly, which is easy to do, but easy to catch too. The above should help eliminate that for you. I'm a member of a couple watch forums, let me see if anyone has a recommendation on a central Ga. guy they use & recommend. What part of central Ga are you looking for? |

Westmoreland's in Conyers could help. They just replaced the batteries in my Citizen Divemaster. Lubed gaskets, etc. They are an old school watch and jewelry shop that services Omega, Rolex, etc.
They don't have a website, but here is their info: Link If you want to make a gun run as well, you wouldn't be that far from Shots Fired or Ed's Public Safety. |
