Is there any shops in GA that carry Strider? There arent any listed on their website but figured there might be a shop that carried them from a distributor.

This is long, but please at least skim it prior to buying a strider. Guy is bad news.

I know the history of Strider and so forth but I continue to break knives and Strider makes some very strong blades. I am looking at the quality of the knife and not the owner.

Are you looking for a fixed blade or folder?  I think I saw some SnGs at Dawsonville gun one time but don't quote me on that. They are worth a phone call though. If you are looking for a tough fixed blade there are several other brands you may want to consider but high end production knives are hard to find on a shelf somewhere.

The upcoming blade show is your best bet at finding a good selection of expensive production knives.

I recommend checking out Busse, Bark River Knives, ESEE, Chris Reeve Knives, and Fallkniven for tough knives of all varieties. If you are dead set on a strider go to the blade show. There will be a ton of them there.  There are also a couple of local guys making great looking fixed blades that I see from time to time. I am not the resident knife expert but I've spent way more than a few dollars over the years and I wouldn't buy another Strider. The issues with Mick aside I really think there are better blades for the money.

BLADE Show is coming up in two weeks. Plenty of Strider Love to be had at that place. Plus you get to people watch the Velcro Mafia.

To answer the op's question both Dawsonville G&P and Dead Center have Striders in their knife cases.

I carry an SNG daily.  I could give a shit about the guys history.  They make badass knives.

Thanks for the replies. I bought a SMF from Dawsonville.
