Spending 6 months to 1.5/2 years. I'll be near (ish) Flowery Branch or somewhere close. What say the local folks? ETA: Beer |

Decent area, lots of Latinos though. It's in Hall Co, near Gainsville. Lake Lanier is close by and there's some nic neighborhoods in that general area. Man I swear, there's a lot of folks looking to re-locate from ARFCOM. Is there something I don't know.... When are you moving OP? |

What is your first language? I am either drunk early or you are because I barely figured out that you are moving to Cabo San GA where you will enjoy our fine brown skinned enchiladas, a fabulous golf "resort" and decent gun shops/ranges near by. School (work) was canceled for a little blizzard, after some fun early on in the ~6" of snow, I started packing and throwing shit away... hence the beer-brain

Lots of us on here from hall county. The north part of the county is nice. A little far for a daily commute. Buford and flowery branch are the more populated areas. ^^^^This, hope you're prepared for nasty traffic OP but you'll be making a nice step up. Speaking of weather, have you ever spent time in the South during summer? |

Quoted: I still think Flowery Branch is a nice part of Hall County. This. Flowery Branch/Chestnut Mtn/Braselton area is very nice. Oakwood/Gainesville side you have to buy 10 inch rims and speak spanish. I lived in Braselton for close to 10 years. Im just 30 minutes from there now in beautiful Dawson County

Straight down Ga20 to Mall of Ga, plenty of good restaurants, etc. in Buford. It won't be tough to find a decent place to live there- take a look at Buford/ Suwanee/ Braselton too. Top 2 choices are in Suwanee and one thats in Buford 2 minutes from the lake |

welcome. where did you settle? I'm living in Cumming, and work in Hall county Good deal, I'm in North Cumming. Traffic in the mornings will suck unless you go in early and leave early. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile No doubt. Yesterday took 40+ minutes to get the 14 miles to the office. Stupid GA20 |

Trust me, break out Google maps and drive over the dam, skirt around the lake. I commuted from Buford to Alpharetta every day and rarely got on 20. I grew up north of Lubbock in Dalhart. I miss west Texas. I got internet hooked up (finally) this morning, so already have a couple of routes I'm gonna try out. Glad to know I'm not the only displaced Texan out here..... the dirt was blowing when I left which didn't make me miss it too much, but definitely missing my friends and family. |

Buford dam road is what you're looking for. I figured you were from west Texas when you mentioned Texas and blizzard together. Most people think it doesn't snow in Texas. I was asked why I didn't dip... I'm from TX after all... lol
Its been cold and rainy here, not really balcony weather Hoping to get business done here quickly and be back closer to home in the next 6-12 months. Year and a half max, need to be in TX as I am in charge of the state and surrounding states, just gotta learn the company and product as thoroughly as can be. |

Yeah, just follow Buford dam road and it will dump you between Dicks and BJ's in Cumming. I live off of GA 20, so I gotta hit it coming and going, but I can get into cumming proper easily enough. Still only adds a couple of minutes (in google map theory) which means much quicker in drive time to get on burford dam road as soon as I can. |
