what is C.O.R.E.? Based on the popular Pro Series line of competition ready firearms, the new M&P C.O.R.E (Competition Optics Ready Equipment) models offer consumers a specialized platform for adding accessory optics to their personal handguns. Engineered to accept six popular styles of competition based optics, the M&P C.O.R.E models are easily adapted to meet any demand.
Slide cut to accept the following optics – Trijicon RMR, Leupold Delta Point, Jpoint, Doctor, C-More STS, Insight MRDS Looks like you can't get C.O.R.E. without getting a Pro, but you can get a Pro without the slide cut. |

Dixie Ammo Dump has 2 of the M&P9 Pro Series in stock, brand new. Tritium sights, yada yada yada........... Well ...... damn. I suppose my M&P9 full size is going on the EE less than 3 hours after buying it, and I'll see if I can swing by Dixie tomorrow.

They make the Pro Series in a non-CORE version also. I do believe that the ones that DAD has are non-CORE. I think they are. I am going to try to stop by tomorrow and pick one up. I have a friend who said he was interested in anything I was letting go, so I'll give him a ring before I list it on the EE. I wouldn't mind trying out a C.O.R.E. since I won an RMR in last year's raffle. |

Could always mount that RMR on the M&P http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g429/bwcguns/photo3.jpg That's the intent of the C.O.R.E. system, although I'm not sure how it mounts differently than a standard pistol - I'd have to see one to understand. Unlike the idea of a RDS for quick acquisition, but would want to avoid the extra weight and size/shape for an EDC concealed carry piece. |
