I listed a colt 6550 on gunbroker over the holidays and a guy from NY won the auction, but the ban was pushed thru before he could take possession. I had already had my ffl do the paperwork on my end, was waiting for the check, had not shipped to the buyer's ffl yet. My question: Do I have to do another transfer from my ffl back to me before I can transfer to another buyer that is wanting to drive to my state later this week? Or can I just meet the new buyer at my ffl's store and have my ffl transfer to the new buyer? Thanks |

The guy is from VA. Will be here and wants to pick up. Thanks. I don't think a VA resident can purchase a rifle from a GA FFL. VA is not on my list of states that I can sell to over the counter. I think the rifle should be shipped to VA and the transfer will have to take place there. td |

It looks like Virginia specifically requires the background checks through their system with the Department of State Police, so dealers in other states would not be able to transfer rifles or shotguns to a resident of Virginia. |
