Dude, that happened to me at work...fortunately it was a topic involving "What AR I would not recommend for a recent Airsoft Graduate". Looking back on it, any AR is better then no AR right about now...kinda funny, but glad to see your back.

So what did they post?

I cant stand when people deliberately try to be a jerkoff. especially when it's supposed to be a professional environment. Maybe then need to be set up for an off the clock ass whoopin, "Yeah man were goin to xxxxx bar tonight, you should come by." Then have some friends there if not to rough him up, to scare the shit out of him, On camera of course. You tube makes folks famous....

I guess unless thats how you guys get down at work. Then it would be game on.

As am young (Less than a year in) Lance Corporal I got an email account for my has-mat duties. I learned REALLY quick about locking my account. I left the computer, and my Gunny came and got me and gave me a good ass chewing for a dirty E-mail, I sent him, which also stated that I didn't think I was really responsible enough to have a government email account, or internet access. After the Ass chewing, My SSgt came around the corner and informed both of us that he had written the email, because I left my account unlocked. Lesson learned, And I never left my account unlocked again. But that's a little different than posting on a public internet forum, from someones private account on that forum.

To me its almost in the same range as taking someones phone and sending posting or sending messages, or looking through it just because they left it laying somewhere. Your into their personal life and apparently trying to cause them undue grief.

Edit, I guess maybe you guys work together (Vote and Jeep), and this was just some good ole Buddy razzin, if so I am still interested as to what was written. If it was and it was all kept in tight control, then No harm no foul.
But I know there are people out there who do this stuff deliberately out of spite, usually political. I.E. he likes guns, and I dont so I am gonna try to make him look bad in front of his friends, because it's all, paranoid childish sillyness, because we have to cops to protect us.

In addition to computers, keep your smartphones locked as well.  I have seen many people send emails, texts, etc on behalf the phone owner and it didn't end too well.   Once a few guys from a SWAT team grabbed another officers phone and sent the commander a text saying "What are you wearing today?".   The commander wrote back and said "What does it matter?"   The guys responded with "You always look very cute when you wear a suit instead of a uniform."

Needless to say the officer got ripped a new one by the commander and his buddies suffered some bruising as well from him when they couldn't help but laugh when he got back from his ass chewing.

nope, don't work together.  pretty sure we live on the opposite of the state too.

I work in IT.  I have root account on several important servers.  I never leave my computer....or phone..... unlocked, even if I am walking to the next cube.  it's just SOP for me.  but the acceptable use policy states that you are not allowed to keep you computer unlocked for any amount of time unless you are in front of it.

phones are just as bad these days.  especially since I suspect most have access to their corp email from their phone.  Gartner estimates more than 80% of a companies IP is in email now.

douche nozzle posted some garbage about "money shots" in graphic terms, i guess i should have known better, being that facebooks are being hacked quite regularly. i wasn't gone probably 5 minutes helping one of the younger techs with a vehicle. i promise pay back will be bruttle. i have it narrowed down to 2 people, so both will reap the benefits of this

we had some guys doing this a couple of years ago, and something about "working a gloryhole" was posted on the "tech to tech" side of our official Ford website and Ford themselves called the dealer and got the dealer principle involved, both lost all posting abilities for good if i remember right.

anyways, from now on i'll log off any time i walk away from my toolbox. we play jokes on each other all the time, but the rules are never anything that will cost the other guy any money.

As you mentioned two douche bags at work......perhaps you should try and figure a way to make it look like they pranked each other...... then sit back and watch the retribution....never know...might even get rid of the douche bags,.,,,,,

I posted on one of my friends accounts here once when he forgot to log off. He publicly professed his undeniable physical attraction to me and came out of the closet in a big way  to the GA HTF. No coc violations though...lol.

I get the little pranks that are obvious and relatively harmless. Doing something like that though shows no class.
