Yesterday or the day before, one of you guys posted a link for 10 P Mags for $100. Here is the worst price hike I've seen since last Friday, but I assume there will be many more from many other "reputable" dealers. I know its capitalism, but makes you think less of Cheaper than Dirt.

http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/MAG-074

Their name will always cause me to smirk from here on out.

Edit: These are the Gen 2s, not the 3s that everyone wants.

I just snagged another little stack at midway, 12 bucks with dust covers.

CTD are some real shitheels.

CTD always does this.  I haven't bought from them since 2008 when they did this the first time.   I remember back around Y2K when people were starting to gather stuff, CTD kept their prices low then.  I guess they had a change of ownership since 2000, or they just got greedy.

I was up at Dawsonville Gun today and they still had hundreds of PMags of all Gens for sale.  The most expensive was $20 for the Gen 3s.   That is why I always go there. They don't jack prices up on scare tactics and keep prices low.

Yesterday morning when I first looked at that mag it was $19.97.
Six hours later it was $29.97. (I posted about this price increase then)

It's doubled in price since then.
Now it's $59.97.

A Gen2 selling for 4xMSRP for a new Gen3.

What will it be tomorrow, $99.97?

Even during the 10 year ban, I was able to get 30 round AR mags for $20-40 a piece depending on manufacturer.  PMAGS were around then, but lots of other brands were.   So the price CTD has is just pure robbery.

not that it matters, but check out their industry forum

People don't seem happy with them right now....

Should change their name to "Lower than Dirt" .. That puts them in the same league as folks charging an arm and a leg for gas, during hurricanes and fuel disruption events....

Why does it matter when you can still get them at $12 ea. elsewhere?  They will garner lots of hate, and little in the way of sales.

Holy shit that is hilarious.  I've got 50 Pmags brand new still in the rapper.  I may list them on gunbroker for the incredibly low price of $40 each!

When things calm down I can snag that Noveske 300 blackout SBR build.

Wow... What a sad state of affairs at CTD.

As for Pmags, I bought 10 Gen 2's for $14 at that prepper shop in Roswell; and 10 Gen 3's at $19 over the past weekend.
They had a TON of them.

There's going to be a lot of this going around I think. I've always been partial to 44mag.com for mags. Consequently, I ordered a bunch from them while watching the second debate when both mittins and obongo both mentioned gun control. Bwahahaha!

Looks like they took P-Mags off their site for the time being.

no, with the high price of fuel shipping will be at the low low price of 39.95 per magazine as per the standards of CTD.

I order some AK mags from CTD yesterday for $12. I've always been happy with them. The Pmag pricing is disappointing but they obviously sold out. More disappointing are companies like Dicks and Walmart that are backing out all together.

Nope. Sounds like capitalism to me. Charge what the market will bear.

Georgia Gun Store in Gainesville had a hundred or so black P mags for $10.99 (gen2). window mags were 16 and C Products mags were 12 or 13.

I bet the plastics supplier for Magpul is planning OT over the holidays.

So when CTD charges 60 bucks, and then 30 bucks it is an outcry, caving to the "left", boycott, etc. When someone on the forums does it, it is capitalism. Sure.

Just hit up Academy on 141 and they had 5 ProMag 42/rd on the shelf for $20/ea.
Now gone.
Might have some in the back.
Nothing else on the floor.
One Bushy in 308 and some other name I never heard of in 223..... nothing else.

A few boxes of 223 and 762. Very few.

Just saw dumbshits 1 and 2 on tv and the mention seemed to be high capacity mags and background checks and reopening the insane asylums. Supposed to have something by Jan for the dictator to shove down our throats asap.

What is the difference between the Gen 2 and 3 Pmags? Is it worth the extra cost to buy the newer gen? I've been pretty happy with the older Pmags.

Just remember the stores that DIDN'T go up on prices after this frenzy ends.  I love hearing how people complain because the online mega-sites price gouge while local business keep things sane, but when things are back to normal they order from the same online stores instead of supporting the local local stores selling at the same price because they want to save 7% tax.  Just saying...

Clyde Armory went from 12.95 yesterday to 19.95 for non windowed pmags.  I didn't buy any.  I'll shop there if and when things calm down.

CTD finally caved like Dicks, stopping the saled of firearms immediately, Wal Mart right behind them. Get em while you can, this time next year a 1K AR will be 5K
& 556 as high as 50 bmg's are today

Walmart has not suggested in anyway they are going to stop selling ARs.  "Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, said yesterday that it would continue to sell guns, including rifles like the one used at Newtown, where 26 people, most of them children, were killed on Dec. 14. By contrast, Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. (DKS) suspended sales of similar guns at its more than 500 stores."
