Sometime in June/July I posted here asking how you guys would approach carrying if you could have a do-over on time and money spent. Since then I have: Received my GWL Bought one pistol (g19) Bought one holster (supertuck) Attended one training session Practiced several times per week. Credit where credit is due, you were right. You guys rock! I feel exponentially more comfortable now than I did before. ![]() Once I move back towards central GA, I hope to be a regular face at the classes and competitions. And I still haven't gotten married. |

Quoted: NICE SKIRT!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() But you realize, you definately need to invest in matching belt, purse, and heels if you're going to be passable in public!!!! ETA: Some nice dangly earrings would help out some too..... Anything for you sugarbear. You seem to have a pretty good grip on what's fashionable. |

No. I've never OC'd before. I saw that in GD and face-palmed. I thought "What are the odds?" The timing was perfect. |

Some men's balls are so big they wear a kilt.............the rest wear pants. That's one way to explain it. You could also surmise that kilts are the byproduct of women who were lazy and never learned to sew well. The food from that region also supports my theory. |

Made by Utilikilts. Redfrog pointed it out to me. |

I think it would be cool to wear a kilt....but then again, I'd have to wear a skirt to keep from "Open Carrying" if you know what I mean, lol.
I dont think I could go out in public in one ever, maybe around the house.....Or in the woods far far far from where anyone else would see me, My brothers would never let me live it down. ETA: Great job on the gun, I bought a G19 About 7 years ago, And Haven't even thought about another carry gun. And several guys I work with now carry them and all love them. |

Kilts are always measured to your kneecaps in length. I recommend you buy each of your brothers one for Christmas. If your family is like mine, there is an unspoken rule they are obligated to wear anything you buy them in front of you once out of respect. Thanks, I saw a lot of comments saying that it was a gun that everyone should own. I have shot several other Glocks and I own a 20C but I was curious to find out how this was supposed to be more ideal and necessary. Now I understand, If I had to have just one gun, I would have a G19. (Ceteris paribus) |

Quoted: You might consider carrying your gun at 4:00 instead of 6. There are some real dangers to falling with a gun in the small of your back versus on your side. 4:00 carry takes some getting used to. I'd prefer to. My body shape makes it harder for me. I only carry at 6:00 when concealing with a light cover. With light concealment at 4:00 I have more print than a newspaper. Maybe it's just something I need to work with more. As the weather gets colder I should get more practice. |

I'd slap my wife if she paid that much for a skirt.....I would hate to see what she would do to me for it. (And no I wouldn't really slap her, but I would want to by god) I had some interest in getting a kilt, cause I like my balls to be free. but I saw that they are asking 200 bucks for them, and realized that theres no possible way that I could justify that much money on it. I figured 80 tops. |

Maybe at 3 or more forward then? We have similar shape, and that's what I like. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Tried it today, It was comfortable but got caught on my shirt constantly. I'm still experimenting with it. Caught where exactly? A change of wardrobe or style of fit may be in order. |

You know how it goes (guns, cars, knives, barbecue sauce, and whiskey) Everyone has their priorities. To me, it was worth it. I knew I was getting something uncommon and well made. The guys at utilikits have great customer service and I know they will take care of me. It wasn't a fleeting idea. I'm not trying to say that it was a smart decision, but I will say that owning and using it brings me enjoyment. As for you, if you really are interested, I would try http://www.sportkilt.com/ The have kits available for $50 My first kilt was a sportkilt, it cost me about $60 if I remember correctly. It was about 5 years ago. They don't attach with buckles or clasps, instead they use a velcro waistband. They have buckles, but they aren't necessary for function, they just snug it up a bit. |

I recently bought a Sig Carry bobtailed 1911. (Sig calls it a 'Fastback'.) The rounded butt tends to print less, snag less, bang against random counter-tops less, and dig into your ribs or the back of your car seat less. I got nothing against Glocks, but I find that anything with a big honkin' square butt like that is gonna be a little tougher to carry that something more rounded. Just my $0.02. |

I bet it would work well with a sweatshirt or something similar. I was wearing a dress shirt when I tried it. |

Quoted: Does anyone else instantly link tactical kilt with neckbeard? I honestly think I would be more comfortable going nude in public than wearing a skirt/kilt. It feels like being naked. The first time, I didn't trust my sense of touch, so I kept looking down to see if I was still covered. |
