I made this thread as a counterpoint to Ytka's thread a few days ago. I've wanted to try my hand at knifemaking for a while so I decided to give it a shot. I made this out of some unknown quality steel with an angle grinder, a bench grinder, and a file. It looks like crap, but does cut stuff. It served its purpose as a proof of concept and now I have a better idea of what works and what doesn't. Hopefully the next one will be nicer.
