I mentioned a few months ago that my wife was paying for me to have a custom knife built for our 10th anniversary. I picked it up today at the Outdoor Blast and freaking love it. The blade is made from an old saw blade, the handle is Osage Orange, and the pommel and guard are wrought iron. The sheath is hand-tooled. I wanted a kind of old school looking knife for a pig sticker/ field knife and he knocked it out of the park. I couldn't be happier with it. Now I've got to go get it covered in blood and dirt.

Pretty cool looking knife. Never been a big fan of blades like that, but the craftsmanship on it was really nice.

I met Carl at a few years ago at a Guild Meeting. OMG, his stuff is so nice. He is a very nice guy too.

I'd buy his stuff just based on the filework on the spine...that's just love of work right there.  Anyone doing that is getting the rest of it right.

Yeah, he was a really cool guy and very helpful. I couldn't be happier with the knife. It feels great in my hand and feels a lot lighter than you would expect for a blade that size. The blade is a little over 7" long.
