Learn of this early this morning, as it was my nephews friend. These type of issues are why I have mixed emotions about the gun ages. My intented is not to debate this topic on this thread. I do see and agree on both sides of this topic. "I" didn't personally know this kid, but I do know he was very much liked, and there are a lot of young men and women devastated over his death. My son is 8 years old, and shoots with me often, as well as shoots everything I shoot. I beat Gun safety into his head day and night. Sure most everyone on here already does this, but I can't stress this enough. If you already do this, please pass on the importance of this to someone who may not. These kids made 3 deadly mistakes and 1 paid with his life. #1 bringing a gun out when it had no business being brought out in the first place. # Taking possession of a firearm and not checking/knowing its current state #3 Pointing this gun in a location that was not meant to be destroyed (in this case, appears to me at self). Sorry, I know 99% of you on this board already know and do this. Just something that I can't imagine not being "second nature". Thanks for reading...................
