I don't work for these guys, or have any affiliation with them.
I've had an Otterbox Defender for my phone for a while, and like them. The first one broke after about a year right at the belt clip, which is pretty much what I expected. I'm pretty rough on it, so didn't mind shelling out $20 to get another one. The replacement one broke about 3 months after I got it, and it was the clip where the phone attaches to the holder thing. Obviously crappy quality. I was pretty unhappy. Stewed for a few weeks, couldn't find my original Amazon order. I was about to order another one, when I noticed a note posted on Amazon by Otterbox that there was a problem with their cases. Had info on how to contact them. I went to their website, filled out a trouble ticket. A couple days later I got a notification that they had shipped me 3 new belt clips. Hopefully they'll make it 3 mos each. Thought that was pretty cool. If you know you have a problem, own up to it, let people know and treat your customers right. I know, CSB. |

Yep. OtterBox seems to be good people. I have Defender cases for my BlackBerry Bold 9900 and PlayBook. They replaced three cases for BlackBerry Torch 9800s for me because the clips that hold the cover on the sliding screen kept breaking. There are better designs out there (for the Torch) but their CS is on point. The Defender stuff is very bulky though. I ususally only put them on when I know I'm going somewhere where I'll need the extra protection.

| Another great experience, except I think I set the record for breaking a defender case. I walked out of the store, put it on my phone at the hood of my car, got into my car and broke the belt clip in the door. I emailed them a picture of the receipt, the broken belt clip and of course the less than hour old time stamp of the email. They sent me three new belt clips no questions asked. They've got my business. |
| I was just about to start a thread just like this. I had a minor issue with the silicone stretching on my defender case for the iPhone 4s. I contacted them to find out how much the replacement sleeve is, and they just sent me a whole new defender case, no questions asked, free of charge. My wife and I have had Otterboxes on our previous phones and I will continue to buy them in the future. |
