Tuned/spruced up a Springfield Armory Loaded model that a member of Sniper's Paradise bought in an auction I did last year to raise money for AmericanSnipers.org.
Started as a parkerized model. Hand-checkered the frame at 20lpi Relieved under the trigger guard to allow for a higher grip Replaced the hammer, sear, sear spring and disconnector, tuned trigger and set to 4lbs (at owner's request) Installed and tuned Ed Brown extractor AlumaGrips. They are actually OD green/gray, but the flash made them look bronze Gun was coated in matte black Cerakote by Matt Lilley of Spartan Armory Not a complete build by any means, just a tune-up and a face lift

Hah! I'm getting out of working on 1911's. I finished up 2 this week and got 'em out. Got a Para that belongs to a member here that is just about finished, a pre-series 70 Combat Commander for a buddy in CT (that is a full-blown custom carry, I'll post pics when done), a 1991A1 full-size for another buddy, and a Belgian-made Browning Hi Power for his wife. When I get those out, I'm done!

Test groups when I got it done. Top group is 8 rounds at 25yds......bottom is 10rds at 7yds.
