So i found a Ruger SR22 at GA Firing Line and I really liked the place.  It is a nice, straightforward shop with fantastic prices on guns.  I think I have found a new supplier.  Oh, btw, the SR22 is one bad ass .22 pistol.  That damn thing rocks!!!

It's off canton hwy in marietta

I was there today and saw my uncle whom aparently is best buddies with the owner, Dan. They went to SHOT together....he's also got a special corner in the rifle section where Dan puts all the deals for my uncle

My grandmother gave my uncle and I a $50 gift card there, so I've got to use it some day. They are also a Class 3 and have a few suppressors on hand.

Staff is COMPLETELY different than it used to be (Nicks/Eds). Very nice and CS friendly. Im pretty sure the chick working there digs me....she kept asking me if she could help me look at something, I was so tempted to say a phone numbner!

Prices are great too! Range is NOT as nice as Sharpshooters, but its on par with it...I cant wait to shoot there!

I would recommend it over Pannells for pricing and range. Though nothing against Pannells, GA Firiling Line is just better. Larger selection, nicer range, better prices.

They had a Sig 551 for $999, used, but never shot (all the factory grease was on the bolt and carrier, and it had all tags, etc. with it) Thats a great price! Though transfers are $30......

Also have TONS of magpul goodies, AR parts, eotech, surefire- all major brands and great selection of EBR parts

During Shot, Dan was posting on another local forum, if anyone had any questions they wanted  him to ask the reps of manufacturers .  I'd never heard of that before.

Yeah hes a great guy. My uncle was telling me he was never into guns, he just wanted to buy a business that had a large cash flow. Once he bought Nick's he started to like guns, and now he's into them! He seemed really young to me, but I guess that's a good quality to have in the gun world.

I'll have to convince Dan to let me tag along next year...I was really jealous. My uncle had a picture of them with arms around the Gunny!

ETA: When my grandmother and mom went to buy the giftcards, Dan introduced himself and found out that one of them was Ward's mother. My mom said he was the nicest gentalman she's ever met at a store, and he was very helpful, friendly, and courteous. She spoke very highly of him, so I had to go there and give the place a shot again under new ownership, and like I said before, i cant WAIT to go back and throw my cash at them!

Those are my sentiments.  In these economic times, great prices AND great customer service mean loyal customers and word of mouth advertising.

Awsome post! Thanks for the heads up! I was actually thinking about asking about them right before I get home. I needed to know if the customer service was worth shipping my Kimber 1911 and ACR to. I don't mind giving people 30 or even 60 bucks, just so long as the customer service is great. Thanks again.

I went there for the range a few weeks back - good prices and a nice range. I was also surprised at the low price (~$290) for 1000 rds of PMC bronze. That is exceptionally low to see in a B&M store.

I didn't want to post prices to offend anyone but I got my Ruger SR22 for $319.  That is by far the best price I've found for this hard to find pistol.  And the young lady that helped me wasn't just nice, she was very knowledgable.

Did they refurbish the range, Nicks was OK at best but I'm reading it's almost on par with SS???

That would be cool.

I always found Nick's staff to be hit and miss, some really nice guys; and some less so.

Prices always seemed reasonable though.

It is not on par with SS from an aesthetic perspective but it is very clean with really good ventilation.  I thought it looked like American Classic Marksmen inside the range with a better pulley system and lighting and ventilation like SS.

Yes.

Dan closed the range for about 7 months. They gutted to the studs and completely rebuilt it.

I would say it is on par with sharpshooters, because just like you said, better pulley system, better lighting, better ventilation than ANY other range around, except for SS. Thus on par with SS

If Sharpshooters was a 2012 Lambo, than GA Firing Line is a 2012 GTR ; more affordable, yet *almost* the same performance- yet they both still blow the pants off the competition

'The Firing Lane' is in Athens.   'Ga Firing Line' is not.
