For starters...Is it rated 15 SEER or higher?
If so, then the company who installed it should have given you an AHRI document stating that the system configuration qualifies for a Federal Income Tax Credit.

I just did my taxes using TurboTax they they had a whole section for deductions for energy efficient appliances. They had a wizard that led you through what was covered and not. Not sure if you use TurboTax, but it will help you. You also get live support online to talk to a tax counselor if you get stuck.
