This is a spin off a previous post looking for a pistol instructor. Is it worth the money to have your NRA Instructor Certification for certain basic disciplines?

I say yes and no. Times are tough for a lot of folks, so not many can justify paying X for "how to shoot a gun"... TV and movies show you all you need to know anyway.

I have had no less than one hundred say they want lessons... but never get past that with 90%. If you advertise, get in with a few ranges (most of which already have their cousins uncle's brother performing this task) you can make some bucks.

Aside from the bucks, teaching responsible, safe firearm handling is an reward all of its own. More NRA members / good shooters make OUR world a better place.

I am a NRA instructor but I generally do not teach the NRA BASIC class
Not that it is a bad class but I take a different view of basic pistol  instruction
