I woke up this morning to an empty house. No Christmas tree. No gifts to unwrap. No excited children hurrying down to the tree to open gifts with great smiles on their faces. Missing that special woman I waited my entire life for to look into her eyes at Christmas and see her love and joy as her children experience this Christmas. My first Christmas alone in my life of almost 50 years. It's raining outside, I wonder if it's Gods tears for the lonely and broken in this time of hope and joy. I wonder if the sadness at this Christmas out numbers the joy? I am thankful I'm not completely alone. God is with me. He comforts me with His hand on my shoulder and His hands around my heart. It's this faith that will comfort me today and it's this gift that I have recieved from Him.
