| anybody been, i heard its really nice. |
|
I have not shot in their range, I got the tour through it though and I have to say it's one of the nicest stores that I have ever been in, let alone gun shops.
The gun counter guys are great dudes and Ronn and Harry are great to deal with. They've got a great location for those of you down that way and I have nothing but great things to say about them. |

Very nice. One of the nicest indoors I have ever been to.
As for prices, it was $19 for all day. About the same as the other ranges if you stayed 2 hours. If you only shoot for 30 minutes, then it is more expensive. If you shoot for more than 2 hours, it is cheaper than the others. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I live a couple miles from there, and I've been several times. Really nice range, and seems to be well run. Generally, I only go during the 11-2 lunch special during the weekdays. The normal rate is a bit steep for me since I'm never there for more than an hour anyways. Ammo is a bit steep, so bring your own. Also, they seem to have a good selection of handguns, AR's and AK's to rent. |

I live about 2 miles away next time you go gimmie a shout day before and I can meet you. Yeah 10 bucks is a good deal and I bring my own ammo, targets, eye and ear so when I leave I just pay 10 bucks. |

It's interesting the difference between the SSGCR and SS USA.
SSGCR definitely has a larger selection of firearms, and they seem a little more relaxed, knowledgeable staff that enjoys discussing things. SS USA is pretty short on inventory, but their range is far nicer. Also, they are a little more serious on the way they run things. I do like the club room at SSGCR even though I've never been in it. I like the viewing area and HVAC system at SS USA. Both ranges are worth checking out. ... |

I've shot at SS three times now and enjoyed each visit. Never noticed if they have any kind of weekday lunch specials, but that sure would beat $20, every time I go. Really like Sharpshooters viewing area and shooting area. I never buy guns from gun shops, so their lack of inventory is irrelevant to me. I've found their personnel to be pretty helpful.
I'm just a mile or two from SS when I'm visiting my oldest son in Alpharetta, closer to Sandy Springs when visiting with my daughter in Buckhead. My daughter had mentioned the Sandy Springs range before, and I believe she's shot there. Will have to check 'em out. |
I like it a good deal! It's the closest firing range to where I live, so I appreciate the easy of access. The folks working there are really great people, too. They seem to know their stuff and are willing to help out any shooter, no matter his or her ability level. I have not taken any classes there, but I know they offer quite a few. As others said, their ventilation is okay, but in the summer it gets really hot. Oh, and if you have Class III, they have no problems with you firing it there. I know a guy who brought in an MG42 to make sure it was running right. It ran well...

They also do military discounts.
And as for showroom products, I was looking at a Larue mount that was about 30 bucks over priced. I was talking to someone (cant remember the name), and he simply asked "how's it priced". So I honestly told him, it's priced how I'd expect it to be priced at a range of this caliber (no pun intended). He then asks what would be fair so I googled it on the phone and showed him. He saw the cheapest price listed and said he'd sell it for that. came from 129 to 99. Have had nothing but good experiences there. |

Just noticed that the lunch special is two for $25, with a shared lane. |

How much is the lunch special? $10.00 11 to 2 in the afternoon. |

I didn't see the $10 special. Will go back to their website and check it out. Maybe I'm missing it; nothing under "range specials" about $10 @ lunch. Dang they raised it recently like in the last week or so, LUNCH HOUR SPECIAL Mon - Fri 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, all shooters $12.00 There going up in price now which will cut my range time down indoors. http://www.sandyspringsshootingrange.com/default.aspx?categ=rangefees Also heard they are buying American Classic Marksman on PIB Argh ! |

I was there Wednesday. so who's got the NIssan GTR? It's probably the owners considering how much I've spent there. Nope one sister drives a GMC type suburban beige color not sure about the other but kinda doubt it. Only reason I know is I see her driving it and her husband drives the BMW and the other sisters husband drives a black AMG coupe. Unfortunatly both of them live real close to me. |

hey if you bump into the owners can you ask them if its possible for them to split their yearly fee into quarters or by month? I don't want to drop the whole $350 at 1 time, but I would definitely do it by the quarter or month. I have asked the employees in the past to inquire about this.

Hi, I'm a noob to the site as a user but not as a reader. Is it true that AMC will be bought out? I hope so as their shop looks more and more pitiful, especially compared to Sharpshooters and Sandy Springs GC. |
