I was up at the Rogers Shooting School in Ellijay for a day during the Handgun Course last week and wrote an article about it.
Story here Fair disclaimer: I was the Chief Instructor at Rogers for 5 years. |

There were, I believe, two cross-dominant shooters in my class this spring. Not sure why they would blacklist cross dominant shooters... I'm trying to make my schedule and $$$ work to go again this upcoming spring. Loved it the first time around. I hope that's the case. I was considering going a few years ago because I heard it's a very good school, but I was told that they wouldn't accept cross-dominant shooters. It had something to do with cross-dominance not being conducive to their course of fire. |

Is it true that you still can't take a course there if you are crosseye dominant? No, not true at all. In the Basic Course, new shooters are taught to shoot using the hand that corresponds to their dominant eye. That works out better for inexperienced shooters starting out. But if your shooting habits are well established, come as you are. |
