Guys,

I'm in the final stages of putting together a level 1 Rifle/Pistol lowlight skills operator course.  I"m waiting for the final clearance on the date.

Currently, the date is set for Saturday, November 19th from 1300-2200 hrs.

Once I get the final clearance, I will post the usual pre-annoucement for the course, but due to the shorter notice I wanted to give you guys some heads-up as to what may be coming.

I should hopefully hear something very soon.

I just may take this course.  Hopefully it isn't 19 degrees out like the last low light course I took.  It took me a 20 minute shower to thaw out!

I'm in.  Do you mind posting the gear requirements/recommendations early too?  I know that I will need to order some stuff.
My current low light gear is a flashlight and a prayer that I never need to use it.

two years ago at creekside i think it was below freezing and blowing like 10mph winds. Ive never been so cold but it was AWESOME. learned a LOT. the 2010 version wasn't as cold, and a lot more personal as there was only like 5 students including me.

Still working on it guys.

The last place I looked at has a lot of potential, but it's not quite ready yet.

Trying to secure another location.

anything new? if not, my son really needs a carbine fundamentals class...

Its not looking good for a low light class. We currently do not have a facility that will allow us to shoot after dark. We are working on a few alternate locations, they are just not up to par yet.

Our option is to cancel that date and class or hold another class. Erik and I were considering a Dynamic Carbine class which is the 3rd tier carbine class(advanced) we offer. The caveat is that we know its short notice. If we could fill it with with 16 minimum, we would hold it.

We were also considering a Shotgun or AK class but those are classes we usually start the year off with.

Wait...Third tier? I took AR Fundamentals...and Dynamic....what's in between? Did I miss something? I definitely missed something.....crap....

The last class we recently taught was intermediate. Dynamic is almost all movement oriented.

By the way, what would the pre-req's be for the low-light course? It occurs to me that I've only taken the AR Fundamentals class from you guys, and realize maybe you are looking for more?

Ok guys, Lowlight course is a no-go.  We'll have to try again in the spring.

I still have the 20th as an open date so I'm gonna post a quick poll.  Sound off and we'll see what we can dial up in short order.
