I'm assuming you are possibly new to AR-15.com's equipment exchange section, SPF isn't a brand it is an abbreviation that means Sold Pending Funds. It's against board policy to reply to your own post on the EE section unless you wait 72 hours first because of the way the board works you knock your post back to the top. So you must edit your post and change it to reflect if something is sold or what have you. People post SPF to indicate they have a buyer who is in the process of sending them payment for the items. Later they will update it to SOLD and eventually it will cycle off the board.

Other then that I have no idea who knocks off a SOPMOD stock.

Perhaps an airsoft one will do?

But for the price of an a good airsoft sopmod, you could get a real Vltor stock from BCM.

I seem to recall reading an article where the cost of the SOPMOD stock to the US government was around $20, maybe less.  Too bad that price isn't passed to the civilian consumer.

Someone has to supplement the loss.

Marketing is great though, "I want what the Military is using!"

Great, That will be $200, please.

$12.28 is what they pay for SOPMODs from B5.

I will warn that there is a possibility of inaccuracy of actual cost in that document, only because there was a massive recall of the SOPMOD stocks going on at that time.  PQDRs and credits were a flyin'.

The RRA Operator stocks are well built, similar to a sopmod, and around $100

Exactly.  You can't tell me it costs $190 more to make a SOPMOD than the standard M4 stock.  And wholesale sucks as well.

Its against the EE policy to stomp on an ad so I will do it here, WAS There any question that these were clones? You asked for clones, got clones. Now you are trying to sell them as real LMTs and got caught Sorry guy but YOU should have been honest in YOUR ads.

But, who says this is the clone?  Perhaps he bought a real one, and then once he had the clone, wanted to sell the real one?

Stiff accusation- I'd just like to see proof that this is the clone.

Make sure you are buying LMT stocks not the B5 stocks I sold the guy a couple of months ago.

Hey,
would you have a link to that sale of those b5's ?

yes it was Foreman, here's the linkhttp://www.ar15.com/forums/t_8_35/462301_Sopmod_clone_stock____.html

Ahh ok thanks for the heads up.
I will look further.

Proof enough? I warned the potential buyer a week ago.

Maybe, maybe not.  His earlier transactions involving clones do not prove that he is or is not in possession of a real LMT stock- that's what I'm getting at. None of us here keep a record of every purchase that the others here make. I'm playing Devil's Advocate because foreman2000 isn't here to defend himself, and I would like to give our fellow HTFer the benefit of the doubt.

By the way, between the bolded retort and your "press one for English" comment above, you are coming off as a bit.....excitable.  It doesn't help your case.

The main reason I did not buy it was I wanted a gen 2 instead of a gen 1 where the sling attachment was already built in the stock.
I already have one gen 2 and wanted my sling to fit both weapons in the same spot.
After considering the cost of adding a GG&G sling attachment or a KAC one the cost was to high.
So really it boiled down to cost I had already decided to not buy the above once I priced out all the extra's.

The email that redx sent me just coicided with my descision.

Also after looking at the FS thread now,
it seems the sopmod sold to another AR-15 guy.

I don't have a case, he does. I am just bringing  to light the fact that he asked for clones then when the sale of those clones back fires, he has the nerve to ask me if I knew they were clones. The bold is not excitement, CAPS are. Bold is like the AIT instructor tapping his feet saying pay attention, you might need this info later.

I don't have an issue with somebody selling clones (alternatives) as long as they are listed as such. I have an issue with somebody trying to pass the buck to cover their butt instead of taking responsibility for their actions.

Chopps, I didn't want to bring you into this butt they asked for proof, so I gave them what everybody except for the Casey Anthony jury, OJ Simpson Jury and I guess Moose11B could see as proof.

Okay, based on the above red text, now I get the context- it wasn't totally clear before.

I would still like to hear foreman2000's side of the story.

Well, as I said before, the context of the situation helps.   Laying out a thorough, well-written explanation of the situation instead of bits and pieces helps, as well.

Sometimes I hate the internet.

now to get off topic, since you will be the last 11B I get to mess with before I retire on Monday, but THIS (excitement) is the internet, not a College E-Campus discussion forum where everything has to be grammatically correct and proof-read two to three times. Congrats on your retirement- you'll have to find another 11B, though- I DX'ed that MOS a while back.  Now I sit around and proofread OPORDERs and Memos two or three times to make sure they are gramatically correct.

I'm not trying to bust your chops, I'm simply trying to guide your argument so that we all may gain an understanding of the point you were trying to make.  I've got it, now, but it was cloudy at first.  You and I know, as Soldiers, that questioning someone's integrity is a serious matter, and should be done with great care and deliberation. /eCampus

Edit- you are a true gentleman.  I hope all is well. (Now everyone is confused)

No not by any means was that the issue... I was under that assumption but it seems this was a snafu in communication... I did not in any way ever try to hide the fact it was not an lmt brand I just did not understand the difference between a sopmod that was made for the military ie:b5 and a true LMT brand stock... But now I know what is what.
I thought that because they where made for the military that was why they didnt have lmt logos on them or that the reason they where different was the fact that it was the old version...
Sorry If anybody was injured in this and understand that I  was not trying to pass off something that was not kosher I honestly didnt know what I had... I guess that is what I get for not doing my homework
