Hey guys,
I see your state honors my permit.
I will be passing thru at the end of the month and need to know a few things.
The most important is where must the gun be in the vehicle even with the permit,
and is it a "must tell" state if I get pulled over.

Thanks,
Natron

With the permit?  Well, the cops don't really like them mounted on pintle mounts or pointed at them... Otherwise, anywhere in the vehicle is good.

No requirement to tell an officer, some officers I've talked to (Fulton County) said only announce if you think the officer will see the weapon, otherwise some of their coworkers are not gun-friendly and might not react well.

What ever you do don't get pulled over in Cobb County.  If you do DO NOT tell them you have a weapon in the car.  You'll live a lot longer, happier, bullet hole free life.  There is no duty to notify in Georgia and the professionalism and level of common courtesy varies wildly among law enforcement here.  Just tell them that there are "no illegal weapons in the car officer".  Just make sure you leave the suitcase nukes, nerve gas, and other stuff at home.
