I have a borderline unhealthy obsession with things .45LC and have been wanting a Ranch Hand for a while now. My wonderful wife wanted to surprise me with one at Christmas, so she put in an order for one a couple weeks before Thanksgiving at Adventure Outdoors, but it still hasn't come in and apparently they have 15 or more folks waiting for them. I had even gone to 400J&L to see if they could get one (not knowing wifey had already ordered one!) and first got a dismissive  from one of the guys and then an older gent actually bothered looked it up in the computer and saw no stock at the distributors.Has anyone heard what the status of these things is? As much as I'd love to have one, I don't want to have pre-paid MSRP for a gun that may be many more months in showing up. |

Adventure has been, in my limited experience, pretty much crap to special order anything from - full MSRP up front and don't ever call us, we'll call you when/if it ever arrives. I wouldn't pay MSRP either, but I didn't order it. Unfortunately, she went to Adventure about a week or so before our first trip up to 400J&L. Now, she's up for a trip up that way any time the BBQ joint across the highway from ya'll is open. |

Has anyone heard what the status of these things is? As much as I'd love to have one, I don't want to have pre-paid MSRP for a gun that may be many more months in showing up. I've seen 5 at gun shows for about $550 which is more than MSRP, I was looking to buy one but they were too over priced. |

Seriously though, obviously I can't speak for all gunshops but no one can "Order" Ranchhands. They come on allocation from wholesalers one or two at a time. |
