I have a couple questions for those of you with more knowledge.
Whats the round count for this? farthest distance for rifle? Since I wont be using my regular rifle I'll need to get hard dope for anything beyond 100 yards. I was planning on using a 6in 1911 for my handgun, would that present a problem? what division would that put me in? Thanks once again Rob |

I was planning on using a 6in 1911 for my handgun, would that present a problem? Depends how well you shoot it Thanks once again Rob Now that my smart aleck answers are out of the way, here is the posting from their website from the last one. Bird and slug count was slightly conservative, I honestly forget on the rifle, mostly b/c I couldn't seem to keep mine running (there I said if for you Derek). A 6" 1911 would not be an issue. You'd be in irons or optics based on your rifle. That pistol alone wouldn't put you in open, unless of course it's a full on race gun with optic. We will run 4 to 5 stages during the match. Be prepared to run with any configuration of guns at any time. You may run a stage with one gun or run a stage with two guns, and may run a stage with all three guns. You will need to bring approximately 80 rounds of rifle ammo, 80 rounds of pistol ammo, and 15 slugs and 50 birdshot for the shotgun. ETA: Round count will vary based on stage design and need. He posts the recommended round count for the match on the calendar, so keep an eye open for the next one scheduled and verify. |

OK, forgive my questions here, I have alot
Should I be prepared to carry all three weapons on me into a stage? i.e. pistol holstered, shotgun slung and rifle at the ready? How many reloads should I have going into a stage, is two rifle mags and two pistol mags enough? I have three shotgun stripper clipy things, will that be enough, if not I'm using the old standby of the cargo pocket. All in All this sounds like alot of fun thanks again Rob |

Be prepared to run them all. Normally don't sling the shotty, may start on a table and ground it and the rifle. How many reloads should I have going into a stage, is two rifle mags and two pistol mags enough? probably, may want 3 pistols if you do an empty start I have three shotgun stripper clipy things, will that be enough, if not I'm using the old standby of the cargo pocket. probably, others will be happy to share equip if you need more All in All this sounds like alot of fun thanks again Rob |

On a 1911 I would bring 5 mags stages can be 32 rounds. For the rifle I never start a stage without 3 mags. More mags mean more options. plus Joe can make mag changes mandatory. For the shotgun you will need a way to carry slugs and bird shot seperately, you might have to shoot both during a stage.

New calendar will be out next week and yes we will be having one either on January or February. No sling needed for shotgun. any word on the possibility of another low light/night shoot? I learned a lot from that class, and would like to do it again....night shooting is something everyone needs to do and practice |
