| So the fiancée noticed a shooting range under construction near the Floataway Cafe on Zonolite in Atlanta. Anybody know anything about the folks behind it? |

I don't know who owns it but I have contacted them and received some details.
First phase is seven 50 ft lanes which will open in mid-November. Second phase is 75 ft tactical lanes (???) which will open after the first of the year. They are not considering offering memberships. This will be a deal breaker for me. Drawing from a holster will be at the discretion of the rangemaster. Probably unlikely for non LEO so I won't get my hopes up. No thoughts on hosting matches but they will consider it. Quickshot This place would be a great place for me to attend a match after work so I hope it works out. |

If this place is cheaper than the new Sandy Springs Shooting Range I'm definitely game for trying it. Amen, $19/day, whether it is 30 minutes or all day. Don't get me wrong, the range was nice, lighting good and ventilation good. The staff was indifferent, and very bland. The gun prices were MSRP, ie: Gen 3 Glocks at $559, Gen 4 at $660!!!!!! Rich |

Quoted: I received an email from the owner last night. First phase of the range is open. December hours are 10am-10pm. $16/hour for a lane and $400/year for membership. For that much, I think I will pass. Sandy Springs range has a deal where it's only $10 from 11am-2pm. |
| Went there today and had a great time. Range is clean and well ventilated. A little too ventilated as my target was swaying in the breeze at the first distance i chose. Construction is still occurring but it's close enough done to shoot in. Guys at the counter were polite, and the range rules were not restrictive. It's much further away from me than hot shots/wild west is, but between the lack of overly restrictive rules, better cleanliness and ventilation I'll be coming back. |
