I know alot of the 5.45 x 39mm is corrosive but someone was telling me that this stuff here was better than the rest ,

Russian ammo

anyone know if thats true ?

Reason I ask is I just bought a 5.45 upper and wanted to use my AAC M42000 supressor when shooting it and I was told by aac that it would be fine to shoot the round through it but not sure about the corrorive factor.

Thanks

That's no different than other surplus.....it's all corrosive.

Maybe they just meant AIM was better than other vendors? Or cheaper?

I shoot 7.62x25mm through my YHM 7.62 Phantom, I just make sure I clean it out good.

I fill it full of boiling water and Dawn then shake it really good.....rinse and repeat.

Well did not want to take any chances so I cancelled the the surplus and ordered the Silver Bear 100% Non Corrosive
Silver Bear Ammo
so that way I would be better off.
