My Search and Google-Fu is not strong today.

I was invited on a Deer Hunt in your great state coming up.
I am getting conflicting reports from my research on what the Mag limit is for a Center Fire weapon.

I will be using an LMT MWS .308 which I have the 20rd mags for.
From what I find there's no limit for center fire rifles. There's only a limit on shotguns to 5shells.  But this sounds .

If this matters, I will be hunting on Private Land which a friend owns.
-Also is open carry of a side arm with 17rds 9mm legal while hunting?

Thanks for the help.

There is no mag limit for center-fire rifles in Georgia.  I use 20 round mags with my AR-10 when hunting all the time.

Edit:  Here is a link to the regulations in Georgia: link

Firearms restrictions are on page 13.  Only Shotgun mags are limited.

Shotgun mags/tubes are limited to 5 rounds, including the chamber.  Only buckshot and slugs may be used, if I am not mistaken.

+1 on no limit for centerfire rifles, must be larger than .22 caliber and centerfire.  There is a member here that has taken deer with 5.45x39 from an AK-74.  I'd like to go hunting with him and his war poodle!

Reg. Reads .22 cal or larger...not  'larger than .22.'

Pickey but...
