| Has anyone switched from Comcast to Direct TV? What do you think? |
| I just went the other way after 11 years with DirecTV. I was having some trouble with trees blockiing my HD signal, and it turned out to be about $50 a month cheaper for me to get phone/Internet/TV through Comcast. DTV is fine, but can get a little expensive the more stuff you add. Also, rain fade is a drag, and if your dish is mounted on your roof you'll hate it when it snows......it accumulates and you have to brush the dish off. |

Both have advantages and disadvantages.
DTV: Pro: Better customer service Great selection A ton of HD Con: Rain and snow will suck Comcast: Pro: ON-Demand Con: Shitty customer service When your cable goes out, it is out for a long time You have to call every 6-12 months to keep a good deal, or it gets expensive I have comcast where I live, but would switch to DTV if I wasnt in the apartment I am in now, |

My grandparents switched from Comcast to Direct TV. They got better prices...and were able to put TV in the whole house, instead of just three rooms. They were also able to put HDtv in three rooms, all for that same price. They get more channels...tons of them, especially in HD. Great tons of channels for the tons of kids who are always coming and going. They are happier with the price, quality, and service. But they do that bundle thing though... So they have a deal with their internet, cell phones, home phones, and direct tv. We've been in some storms...nothing bad on Tv yet. I even found a channel that shows MASH ten hours a day. Love that show. |

Had comcast but there equipment is slow as far as function ( would hang up on fast forward and reverse alot ) ditched it and went with Dish and love it.
Dish harware reacts good and other than a bad reciever its nice. DTV may be ok but I think that dish is cheaper and like there equipment for the most part. |
