I will be in Atlanta next Friday and Saturday for a conference and will be in both of these areas. Please recommend your favorites.
Steaks, Italian, and Mexican preferred in that order. Please no national chains. |

Surin of Thailand
Great food and and surroundings. Very near Decatur in Mid-Town and one of the few places I miss since moving out of the metro ATL about 5 years ago. The fresh basil rolls and spicy coconut shrimp soup are outstanding. Their Spicy Mixed Seafood plate is also unbelievable and a great value for less than $20.00. Taquira del sol. Really good. In Decatur
I have to disagree with the ruths chris recomendation. I think there are several better places to get a great steak. Rathbuns is awesome. Fogo de Chao for the eat yourself into oblivion brazilian style steakhouse. Capital Grill. Chops. One of my new favorites is Two Urban licks, Lots of good food and at a very reasonable price kind of trendy. Ahh i miss the food in Atlanta. |

Please no national chains. Hmmm..ok...Feel free to PM for more details. THere's a mix of nice to dive in this thing. Italian.... Priccis, Gallas, and Vintage Pizza.... Steaks.... Bones, Restaurant Eugene, Rathbuns, Mexican.... Go down to Chamblee (halfway between DEcatur and Dunwoody, which are only 15 minutes apart) LOTS of good Mexican places. La Cazuela is one...there's plenty more. Asian as well. You may want to try Fat Matts Rib Shack (or any of our colorful and delicious BBQ joints) Enjoy your stay. |
