| Anybody have any insight on what the best ammo for this gun would be? I am borrowing one from 11B4V to teach someone to shoot and have to go pick up some ammo? Also if anyone knows where said ammo is in stock please chime in so I can go buy some. I am in the Roswell/ East Cobb area. |

If you can't find it anywhere else...I got the Winchester 333 and I guess I could help you out if it's purpose is to teach good habits and skills. (Not a WTS ad) Oh hell.....are you a dealer? Locked and Banned...just kidding. Thanks. Yeah I am teaching someone who has never shot before so we are starting with a 22 so that we can focus on sight picture and trigger pull and not recoil. She really wants to learn to shoot so I figured we can progress up through the calibers without just scaring the shit out of her right off the bat. I will hit you up if I cant find any ammo, thanks for the offer. Also 11B4V has only put a mag or two through the gun so he really doesnt know what is the best for it yet. Thanks to everyone for your assistance. |
| I feed mine Remington Golden Bullet bulk pack and it is very happy with it. With a suppressor I use PMC Moderator and Aguila Match Rifle. It works acceptable with the Aguila Match Rifle but jams semi- to fairly frequently on the PMC Moderator due to it having less juice than the Aguila Match Rifle. But a few jams are the price you pay for uber quiet so you can shoot in your backyard in east Cobb. :-) |

If in doubt, get CCI Mini Mags.
While I generally shoot the cheap stuff, I always keep Mini Mags on hand because they seem to function in anything. Also if this is a new pistol I would expect it to be somewhat finicky. Seems like they all get less picky with age and use. I bought a Ruger 22/45 that would absolutely NOT feed with Fed bulk pack when new, with the Remington Golden Bullets it was flawless. Now after many thousands of rounds it can't tell the difference. |

fed 550 bulk pack. i hope you're just trying to train them to hit the broad side of a barn Basic fundamentals.....we are not going to shoot more than 10 yards starting off. Its all about building sound fundamentals and confidence. Hopefully she will enjoy it enough so that in the future we can progress up through the calibers and get her a "real gun" for self defense. |
