Anybody have any insight on what the best ammo for this gun would be? I am borrowing one from 11B4V to teach someone to shoot and have to go pick up some ammo? Also if anyone knows where said ammo is in stock please chime in so I can go buy some. I am in the Roswell/ East Cobb area.

IIRC then it's some type of CCI stuff that works best.

Explore the walmarts...I see them a lot around Austell Rd.

Mine gets fed a steady diet of Winchester 333 pack.  Its 10 bucks per box, 30 bucks per 999 and compared to Fed bulk pack at 30 bucks for 1100rounds, all my 22's will run on the Winchester where not all will run on Fed Bulk.

CCI mini max is usually the best stuff..

wouldn't 11b be able to tell you what his gun eats best?

As for who has it... man don't have a clue.

If you can't find it anywhere else...I got the Winchester 333 and I guess I could help you out if it's purpose is to teach good habits and skills.

My brother has one and he uses the Mini-Mags.  Has had issues with the cheap bulk stuff.

Oh hell.....are you a dealer? Locked and Banned...just kidding. Thanks. Yeah I am teaching someone who has never shot before so we are starting with a 22 so that we can focus on sight picture and trigger pull and not recoil. She really wants to learn to shoot so I figured we can progress up through the calibers without just scaring the shit out of her right off the bat. I will hit you up if I cant find any ammo, thanks for the offer.

Also 11B4V has only put a mag or two through the gun so he really doesnt know what is the best for it yet. Thanks to everyone for your assistance.

The one i bought for my girlfriend is incredibly finicky with ammo and seems to like the red Federal 550 rnd bulk packs from walmart.

Mine eats anything CCI as well as Federal bulk pack.  It chokes on Winchester HX, and Remington gold.

I feed mine Remington Golden Bullet bulk pack and it is very happy with it.  With a suppressor I use PMC Moderator and Aguila Match Rifle.  It works acceptable with the Aguila Match Rifle but jams semi- to fairly frequently on the PMC Moderator due to it having less juice than the Aguila Match Rifle.  But a few jams are the price you pay for uber quiet so you can shoot in your backyard in east Cobb.  :-)

so far mine has eaten anything I have fed it for the past couple years with only 4 or 5 FTF or FTEs ever.

If in doubt, get CCI Mini Mags.

While I generally shoot the cheap stuff, I always keep Mini Mags on hand because they seem to function in anything.

Also if this is a new pistol I would expect it to be somewhat finicky. Seems like they all get less picky with age and use.

I bought a Ruger 22/45 that would absolutely NOT feed with Fed bulk pack when new, with the Remington Golden Bullets it was flawless.

Now after many thousands of rounds it can't tell the difference.

Yup.  Mini mags are what I use in my skeeter.

Aguila Supermax works too.

Basic fundamentals.....we are not going to shoot more than 10 yards starting off. Its all about building sound fundamentals and confidence. Hopefully she will enjoy it enough so that in the future we can progress up through the calibers and get her a "real gun" for self defense.

i dont know about you, but i was dangerous with that gun even at 100yards.....i could hit "around" ya if you were stading there....from 30ft its actually pretty accurate...
