Any of you local guys here in Athens know how to reassemble the trigger group of a 10/22?  I got one that is down to pieces and I can't seem to figure out how to get it back together.

Thats exactly what I did and I finally got it back together...kind of.  The bolt is stuck.  Usually you push up on the little piece right by the mag release and it lets it close, but now nothing happens.

Got it.  Unfortunately, The spring is broker off right where is should contact the bolt release.  Oh well.  I will ben a spring for it later.

Thanks everyone for your help.

rimfirecentral.com has good tutorials for future use on anything dealing with the 10/22.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.  I feel like an idiot now when I look at the trigger group.  Everything in it does exactly what it looks like it should do.  I bent a new spring for the bolt release and everything works like a charm now.

I feel that way *most* times I work on one of their guns for the first time.  Take your time, though, and they're actually pretty well designed.  For fun you should to take apart one of the Mk series pistols....

I hear that the MK's are a pain to take apart and put back together.  I am actually thinking about getting one and having elite iron put an integral can into it.  Should be cool.

The Mk II and III are tricky until you figure it out, then they make sense. Don't be intimidated.

Glad you got the 10/22 back together.

That's what I've found as well.  There's a great video out there on youtube that really helps out....
