I remember you giving Mr. King a home-made concoction to use to clear a drain out instead of buying expensive drain-o.

I  was wondering if you could share your mixture's ingredients again please.

Thank you.

It's the shower at the dorm.

It drains...but slow. And I'm really iffy about calling the service people because they haven't helped me much in the past.

Have you tried just using a plunger?  I know its kinda obvious but I've had the idea presented to me when my first thought was a chemical solution.  My landlord isn't friendly toward chemical drain cleaners.

Oh a shower drain???

It's not like some bathtub shower. It's like a jail style shower drain.

The water doesn't build up that high.

Here ya go:

1 cup of baking soda followed by 1 cup of vinegar.  Let that sit and bubble and sizzle for awhile then follow with boiling water (I just use a sauce pan full of water, don't really measure it).

once you sterilize it with the boiling water you'll be all set to make some bathtub gin!

It's not a community shower...it's one bathroom....but it's jail style solid floor single drain in the middle.

I suspect my suitemate of trimming his ....area...in there.
