Does Atlanta city pay for damage to automobiles done by potholes?  I hit one today downtown and it bent the wheel of my car.

No.  They create potholes on purpose to reduce the amount of cars in a certain area of the city.  If too many cars are spotted on a certain road, a pothole is dug in the road to make people seek alternative routes.

I wish the city would pay for potholes...but that would make the city bankrupt..  Oh wait.... too late.

Well if your car got demolished by a city of atlanta trash truck you would get paid for the damage... $1000 is the limit on damages paid by City of Atlanta.

So I doubt you'd get anything for a pot hole.
