Lucky, too bad you are in Athens now .... Ive been using walnut blasting media from Harbor Freight, 25 pound box for 20 something bucks.  Throw a cap full of NUFinish car polish in with it and let it go for about an hour before you throw any brass in there and then load the brass and let it go.

25 pound bag will last forever.  You can also go to pets mart or something like that and buy lizard litter, its just crushed walnut shells and its cheaper than buying "brass polishing media".

Unfortunately, I do not have a pet store in athens with the walnut lizard litter.  There are only two pet stores up here and neither one has it.  I am hoping that someone has already done the research that I am going to have to do otherwise and has found a source for 10/14 corn cob media or crushed walnut in whatever form around here somewhere.  If not I guess I will have to venture down to Harbor Freight one of these days.

Lucky, not sure on the corn cob media, but you could check Tractor Supply, they might have some.

If you were still around this area Id give you some of both.  Ive got a whole bottle of the NUFinish, and Ive got plenty of walnut left over as well.

Wally World has it in the pet section I use it all the time and it works great.

I prefer Walnut to Corn Cob as the Walnut is more aggressive and cleans faster - the Corn Cob is great for giving things a final polish though.

Are you loading pistol or 223?

If 223, do not use the corn cob from Wally World, it gets stuck in the cases like crazy, small walnut's the only way to go there. Corn($4.00/10lb) has worked great on 9mm and 45 for me so far. I've used MAAS($4.00) and Turtle Wax Chrome Polish($1.97) with good results all from Walmart.
