Looking for ..
Classical. Opera. 50's. Jazz. FM and AM are all good. |
| Yep pretty much what 2tom2 as said. 91.1 and 88.5 play most of those occasionally. They are college radio stations so they have different schedules with different types of music. 91.1 plays opera/classical every weekday morning until about 9:00 AM, then there is some classical in the afternoon (I think from 11:00 til 3:00) on 90.1 which is our NPR commie news station. NPR also plays classical all night long after midnight til about 5:00 AM(and into the late mornings on weekends). I've heard classic jazz and blues programs on the two college stations but can't nail down a time. I don't think we have any AM stations that feature music. Atlanta probably has the worst selection of radio stations in the United States at least for a big city. Very little variety. |

I have 91.1 , but mostly what I hear on there is BBC news and stuff.
Thanks for the info. I agree, very little variety. I may think about getting one of those free radio services with limited commercials and limited song skipping per hour. Both limits become void when you pay like $5-$10 a month. But I believe if I find another radio deal on woot I may take it. |
