we had amazingly intricate water fights. Not just with a squirt gun but we used all sorts of delivery systems. You had water balloon grenades, squad serviced hoses and then self created designs that employed back tanks industrial grade hoses and pump pressure valves. Some people just carried 5 gallon buckets of water to throw. We played capture the flag with two flags per team and 6 man squads. Unlike paintball, we had no way of knowing after the first minute who was hit or not, so the purpose of the water was not to show damage but to utterly blind your opponent so your team could beat him off by any means necessary from taking your flag. You won by getting one flag back, so defense was paramount and offense tricky. Communicating effectively between the two squads at each flag was difficult if not impossible. It would have been amazing to have this...

Water fights were the same as yours pretty much....with the addition of a handpump for a basketball that would be used to fill up water by pulling the handle back, and violently ejecting it with a forceful push on the handle.
I seem to recall a modified bicycle that had the engine of a lawnmower attach to one of the wheels.....that was crazy. |
